Former Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes Endorses Christian Phelps for Assembly District 93
Wisconsin’s former Lieutenant Governor, Mandela Barnes, has endorsed Christian Phelps of Eau Claire in his race for the 93rd State Assembly District.
“Christian has been a skilled and unapologetic advocate for schools across the state of Wisconsin. He will be a consequential leader in the legislature, and I am proud to endorse him for the 93rd Assembly District,” said former Lt. Gov. Barnes.
“I could not be more honored to have Lt. Gov. Barnes’ support in this crucial race,” said Christian Phelps. “He is a visionary leader for progressives in Wisconsin, and by working in partnership with him, I know we can flip this seat and move toward real justice for our community.”
Phelps was born and raised in the Chippewa Valley and is running for the 93rd Assembly District as a progressive Democrat. He has over a decade of personal and professional experience in community advocacy, nonprofit organizing, journalism and communications, and public education. He has collaborated for many years with progressive leaders, including Lt. Gov. Barnes, to advocate for strong public education legislation and support for the working class.
